The SIGNET ARCTURUS and SIGNET POLARIS were chartered to deliver multiple 400' x 100' foot barges loaded with installation equipment for the CHEVRON BIG FOOT TLP and the HEIDELBERG Spar in the Gulf of Mexico. The equipment was then offloaded by the BALDER as aids for installation for both the TLP and spar.

Five (5) tractor tugs were utilized for the offload of the HEIDELBERG Spar from the DOCKWISE HLV MIGHTY SERVANT I at the Kiewit Offshore Services bulkhead. The spar was safely moored in the Deep Hole to undergo final preparations before departing to her final location in the Gulf of Mexico.

The SIGNET TITAN, SIGNET THUNDER and SIGNET LIGHTNING towed the RED HAWK Spar from Garden Banks 877 to Eugene Island 384 for decommissioning. This is the first time that a cell spar was decommissioned.

Signet provided the transportation equipment during the launching and sail away of ANADARKO LUCIUS. Four (4) Signet tugs provided transportation from Kiewit Offshore Services to the sea buoy working with a Towmaster and the Pilots to ensure a seamless operation for transit and turnover to the offshore towing tugs.

Project Overview>>>
Signet Maritime, on behalf of Dockwise, provided coordination and inbound tow services for HLV MIGHTY SERVANT I, loaded with spar rig LUCIUS. Contracted by Kiewit Offshore Services, Signet Maritime provided vessels for the offload of LUCIUS from the HLV to the Kiewit Bulkhead, as well as for the subsequent rotations of the hull during final fit out for delivery. Signet Maritime has been contracted to provide escort tow services for the wet tow of the spar from the Kiewit Bulkhead to offshore.

The PERDIDO spar was offloaded from a heavy lift vessel by Signet tugs and placed next to the dock at Kiewit Offshore Services. Signet provided all support vessels and Towmaster for spar rotation and fabrication yard work. The tugs for escorting the spar to sea were provided by Signet to ensure a safe transit through the channel.

Signet provided transportation coordination and equipment to transport two electrical buildings from Houston, Texas to Ingleside, Texas. This consisted of multiple pre-planning meetings and attending the loadout of the buildings. Signet staff oversaw ballasting activities and positioning the building on the barge. The transportation of the modules on our barge and offloading in Ingleside went well and without incident. Signet provided daily support of the construction of the topsides for this project with tugs and barges moving material and cranes, offloading the spar from a heavy lift vessel, rotating the spar and escort to sea.

The Constitution spar was offloaded from the MIGHTY SERVANT 3 a Dockwise vessel by Signet tugs and placed next to the dock at Gulf Marine Fabricators. All the barges were contracted and provided by Signet for spacer and work barges. The fresh water ballast and barges were provided by Signet to rotate the spar hull for work. This evolution was conducted three times to complete the work. The tugs for escorting the spar to sea were provided by Signet to ensure a safe transit through the channel.

Signet provided the transportation equipment for RED HAWK during the launching and sail away. The spacer barges and work barges were contracted for by Signet. After the spar was skidded onto a barge, Signet provided the tugs to transport the barge from the construction yard at Gulf Marine Fabricators to Kiewit Offshore Services where the spar was lifted off the barge and placed into the water. Signet then provided the tugs to escort the spar from Kiewit's yard to the Aransas Pass Jetties. Our company worked in conjunction with the Towmaster to ensure a seamless operation of the assist tugs and the main towing tugs.

Signet provided assist tugs during the fabrication of the HOLSTEIN spar sections at Gulf Marine Fabricators. The tugs were used for launching the Hard Tank and the Truss load out and float off. The spacer barges and work barges were contracted for and provided by Signet. Signet provided the crane barge and tugs to drop each of the cradles after the float off and lift them from the bottom to return to the yard. The tugs then held the two sections of the hull together while the yard integrated the hard tank and truss sections. Once the spar was ready to sail, all of the assist tugs were provided by Signet to escort the hull to sea. The tugs were provided at the direction of the project coordinator.
